Cool to see you … Cool to see you already tried Reg’s trick, treeguy! Which wasn’t the first I’d heard of it….years ago, someone else did it, coulda been Gerry Beranek, don’t recall. I can see its merits for super tight spots, Side benny, shock loading is pretty much eliminated, as is the initail drop that must happen with conventional butt hitching.

Cracking video mate … Cracking video mate, you certainly have plenty of gear. Our boss makes us feel lucky letting us have the one lowering rope, a porta wrap and a couple of pulleys to use for our rigging. What are the black felling lever/ jack things called?

I’m glad to hear it … I’m glad to hear it worked. I think for really tight spots it does have some merit. But its not my method really – I have heard and spoke to guys doing similar from way back, and like I said….mainly in tight and unusual situation. Although none of them mentioned implementing a crotch like that, but who knows! All the best. Reg.

Thankyou treeguy. … Thankyou treeguy. For the record, everything had to be lowered (roofs, flags, walls fences etc and we only had permission to work from the one yard. On the contrary, nothing seemed to be over complicated, the work-flow continuous, the branches/logs cut to a size manageable for the guys down below with what room they had.

You’d have had that trunk down in a fraction of the time.Good job just the same.Liked seeing tree work from subjective camera, too.Thanx! Enjoyed watching…
