Tree Surgery

Video of my friend Rob who is a tree surgeon. Worked for him for a short period but captured some good footage of his work. While I was working for him I bought ‘Coldcut – Autumn Leaves’ 12″ so I would get home and put that record on. Tree surgery is pretty rewarding but in all honesty I found the work a bit too destructive for me to pursue in the long term. There were some beautiful trees that we were told to take down and the feeling of the place afterwards seemed very dark and empty. However my friend reassured me that usually tree surgery involves maintaining a tree rather than destroying it. My career interests lie in designing landscapes with a Buddhist/ Zen perspective and gardening.
