Pine tree removal using speedline.

Posted by admin on Jan 25, 2010

Andrew and Will (groundworkers) had never used a speedline before, so nothing too adventurous on this occasion. Andrew controls both lines from the base of the tree while Will unties each branch at the landing. Neither Andrew nor Will could see each other so clear communication was imperative. A slender Corsican pine, a mornings work.

What does tree removal cost??

Posted by admin on Jan 25, 2010

We have 30 big trees on a 1/3 of an acre property (big = taller than the house; some are 5 stories tall and 2-3 feet thick in the trunk). ALL of them are too tall to simply drop – they will hit something (fencing, neighbors house, our house).

We want to take about 20 of them out. I wager this is going to cost a fortune. Does anyone have any clue what we are looking at? The trees themselves have no value (mostly gumball trees) even as firewood.

We live in SE Virginia if that helps.

I don’t know how much it would cost to pay someone but you could get a friend to climb and cut off pieces at a time and burn it then you won’t have to pay someone else to do it for you.

Tree removal in Northeast Florida?

Posted by admin on Jan 20, 2010

We have in excess of 20 pine trees that we wish to remove from our residential property in Jacksonville. Are there any companies/individuals that would remove the trees in return for the resultant lumber/wood products?

Call local lumberyards and check with them for referals.

Lilli Pilli tree removal?

Posted by admin on Jan 19, 2010

Hi all.I need to remove 4 lilli pilli trees for my mother which are approx 3m high.

Unsure what sort of lilli pilli they are,but would anyone know if the stump and root system would be easy to remove or would I need to stump grind?

Thanks.
Darren.

If its syzygium australe, get yourself a digger, extensive root systems that can cause structural damage. Check out www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/a10421902.

Which property owner should pay for removal of a tree situated on the property line?

Posted by admin on Jan 18, 2010

Pine tree is beginning to lean, so one property owner has a greater interest in removing the tree than the other owner, but the tree is almost centered on the property line.

if the property owners can’t agree to go 50-50 then the one with the greater interest can pay if it is a priority for them
