Grinding Tree Stumps – Keep the Wood Chips or will they bring out the termites?

Hey all – I’ve done a lot of searching on the site and read about the pros and cons of fresh wood chips – here’s my situation: I’m actually having about 23 (count’em) stumps ground down this week. Originally, the guy was offering to spread the wood chips around the yard – but then I got a warning about termites from a friend of mine.
Now, the area we’re talking about is surrounding a pool and is far from our main house – however, the pool is close to a small cottage we have on the property.
So the options are:
1. Spread the wood chips and save us money on both haul away and mulching in this rather large area.
2. Have him haul the chips away.
I really have no idea how big a pile of chips we’re talking about for 23 tree stumps – so I may have to have him haul away some of it anyway.
Number one rules in the "Reducing Termite Activity" manual is the reduce the amount of dead wood and cellulose materials around a property.
This is a no-brainer. If your property is in a high risk termite area then I would get rid of the chip. Its not worth leaving on your property just so it can "look nice". It could cost you thousands of dollars damage.
Can I grow grass on the spot where I just cut down a tree and the stump has been ground into wood chips?

Put down about 1 inch of compost spread the seed lighty rake it in ,water it twice a day for about a week .After it sprouts water 2 a week .

We had some Aus trees cut down last winter because they were out of control and sending roots all over the surface. This guy came in and ground down the stump.

When is the best time to plant a Crimson Maple in SE Michigan?

I will be removing a stump soon and plan to replace the tree that was there with a 2"-3" caliper Crimson Maple Tree.
When is the best time to plant this tree keeping in mind there may be roots leftover from the large tree even after stump grinding. I don’t need to plant in the exact same spot but my yard is small and I want the new tree nearby.
The previous tree was a pear tree about 12" dia, 35′ high
Fall is a great time to plant trees, Crimson King Maples included.
If the previous tree was large, I dont’ recommend planting in the exact same spot.
What is the best way to get a start-up loan if you need it to purchase the equipment to start the business?

We would like to start up a tree trimming/ stump grinding business, but require a small business loan to purchse the equipment necessary to even begin the business. Are there loans available that do not require proof of a years worth of profit?
If you are not informed you, will be deformed; I’m sharing this today because I have to.
